Job description

DESCRIPTION: The Data Entry Operator II requires the application of experience and judgment in selecting procedures to be followed, and searching for interpreting, selecting, or coding items to be entered from a variety of document sources. The Data Entry Operator II may perform routine work as described for Data Entry Operator I. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform data entry using standard office equipment and Microsoft Office computer programs.

Read source documents and properly code for data entry. Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered. Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.

File and store completed documents in appropriate locations. Locate and correct data entry errors or report them to supervisors. Maintain logs of activities and completed work.

Select materials needed to complete work assignments. Perform other duties as assigned or directed.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/or Experience: Must be a United States Citizen. High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma

Computer skills; proficiency in various Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 2-3 years previous data entry experience Language Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written command of the English language, with the ability to read and comprehend written correspondence. Able to understand/interpret verbal and written instructions to perform required duties.

General Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational skills commensurate with position and ability to prioritize tasks. Attention to detail. Work Environment.
