About Channel Zero

We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and hands-on IT Manager to lead our technology operations and support our broadcast and corporate infrastructure.


Position Overview

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure, applications, and support services across all of Channel Zero's business units. You will bridge the gap between corporate IT needs and specialized broadcast technology, ensuring seamless operations for our 200 employees. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can manage day-to-day technical operations while driving long-term IT strategy, cybersecurity, and system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:


IT Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the internal IT support team, while managing relationships with external technology vendors.
  • Develop and execute an IT roadmap that aligns with the strategic goals of our various business units.
  • Manage the annual IT budget, optimizing hardware, software, and licensing costs without sacrificing performance or security.
Infrastructure & Operations
  • Oversee the management of our network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches) to ensure high availability for both corporate users and broadcast operations.
  • Manage cloud environments (Google Workspace, GCP, Online Backups, etc) and on-premise servers(Proxmox, Linux and Windows).
  • Administration of storage arrays.
  • Direct the IT Helpdesk to ensure timely and effective  support for all employees.
Security & Compliance
  • Maintain robust cybersecurity policies to protect sensitive company data and broadcasting assets.
  • Oversee disaster recovery, data backup protocols, and business continuity planning to ensure zero downtime for critical media operations.
  • Ensure IT compliance with relevant industry regulations and data protection standards.
Broadcasting & Business Unit Support
  • Partner with the Broadcast Engineering team to support the convergence of traditional broadcast technology and IT networks (IP-based broadcasting).
  • Evaluate and deploy software and hardware solutions tailored to the unique needs of production, sales, marketing, and operations departments.


Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in an IT management or leadership role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the broadcasting, media, or entertainment industry is highly preferred.
  • Operational Knowledge:
    • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching) and firewall administration.
    • Proficiency in administering Google Workspace and Active Directory
    • Experience with high-capacity storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and media workflows.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders across different business units. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven media environment
