Entertainment Operations Manager information

What does an entertainment operations manager do?

An Entertainment Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of entertainment venues, events, or productions. They are responsible for coordinating staff, managing budgets, ensuring the quality of performances or services, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Their role may also include scheduling events, negotiating contracts, and working closely with performers, vendors, and technical teams to ensure smooth operations. The goal is to deliver an enjoyable and seamless experience for guests while achieving operational and financial objectives.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entertainment operations manager?

To thrive as an Entertainment Operations Manager, you need expertise in event planning, project management, budgeting, and a relevant degree such as in hospitality or business management. Familiarity with event management software, scheduling tools, and compliance regulations is typically required. Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills help you manage diverse teams and adapt to dynamic, high-pressure environments. These abilities are crucial for ensuring smooth operations, high-quality guest experiences, and successful execution of entertainment events.

How does an entertainment operations manager typically collaborate with creative teams and technical staff to ensure smooth event execution?

An Entertainment Operations Manager plays a key role in bridging the gap between creative teams (like directors and performers) and technical staff (such as lighting and sound engineers). They coordinate schedules, oversee rehearsals, and facilitate communication to ensure everyone is aligned on the event’s goals and timelines. By balancing logistical planning with creative requirements, the manager helps anticipate and resolve issues before they impact the show. This collaborative approach is essential to delivering seamless entertainment experiences and maintaining a positive work environment.

From a humble beginning with one bowling center in 1997, we redefined an industry and built a powerhouse Company with 14,000 Associates and nearly $1.4 billion in annual revenue. Hospitality is our core and we strive to deliver memorable experiences for every guest on every visit.

When you join Lucky Strike, you join a team of passionate winners and give yourself the best opportunity for sustained career growth and opportunity. It’s not easy to get hired by us – we want only the most talented and committed Managers, but when you do join Lucky Strike, the rewards are abundant.

The Role

As a Facility Manager at Lucky Strike Entertainment, you will own the day-to-day health, safety, and performance of the facility. You will lead the maintenance team, oversee preventative maintenance and repairs, manage vendors and

  • Perform and oversee daily repair and maintenance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, lanes, and attractions
  • Own preventative maintenance across the center, scheduling regular service and system checks to catch issues before they become failures
  • Document all maintenance work and monitor equipment performance to get ahead of downtime
  • Serve as the on-site technical expert, completing repairs and troubleshooting issues with speed and precision
  • Manage contractors, vendors, parts inventory, and facility budgets
  • Train and develop maintenance team members in safe practices, technical skills, and quality standards
  • Provide technical support during peak hours including nights, weekends,
and holidays to keep the center fully operational
What You'll Bring
  • 3 or more years of facilities or technical operations leadership in a high-volume environment
  • Practical experience with plumbing, electrical repair, HVAC, and general contracting
  • Proven ability to build and lead a maintenance team focused on uptime and guest satisfaction
  • Financial acumen including preventive maintenance budgeting, vendor management, and cost control
  • Strong understanding of safety compliance, OSHA standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in mechanical or technical spaces
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
What You'll Get

Our people are the reason guests keep coming back. Here is what we offer our Management team:
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision plans to select from based on your needs
  • Wellness resources to help you along your wellness journey
  • 401(k) Retirement Plans
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Vacation and Holidays
  • Perks! Bowling, Boomer's, and Waterpark discounts, Retail discounts, Event discounts, and more!
