Job description

Our firm, with offices on both coasts, seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented career litigation paralegal to join our growing team, REMOTELY (Eastern time zone- ideally South Carolina or Florida). You will be working with our squad of nine attorneys on cases for our artists and fashion and business clients that involve copyright, trademark, right of publicity, and entertainment law.

We need someone who is efficient, professional, and competent in preparing legal pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and other documents. And we would love someone with experience with district court deadlines and e-filing, knowledge of federal and state rules of civil procedure, and calendaring. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters and should feel comfortable conducting research, doing data entry, scheduling, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing legal pleadings
  • Correspondence
  • Discovery, and other documents.
  • District court deadlines
  • E-filing
  • Knowledge of federal and state rules of civil procedure
  • Calendaring
  • Case management
  • Data entry
  • Attention to detail and ability to work autonomously, in a fun but fast-paced environment (plus a sense of humor) is a must.

Qualifications:

  • · Associates, bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • · 2+years as Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal
  • · Ability to work overtime when needed

-Currently a remote role, but targeting Charleston, S.C. and surrounds for occasional hybrid work. Please do not apply if you do not live in South Carolina or Florida. Thank you.
