Job description

PURPOSE  

The Data Operations Intern will support ibml’s Project Phoenix initiative by assisting with enterprise data gathering, validation, and cleanup activities across HubSpot, Notes, and Macola. This role will help improve the accuracy, consistency, and organization of critical business data used by Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, and other departments. The intern will work in the Information Technology department to identify duplicate records, validate information between systems, and document inconsistencies to support broader system modernization efforts. This position provides hands-on experience with enterprise business systems, data governance, and digital transformation within a manufacturing environment.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with gathering, organizing, and validating data across HubSpot, Notes, and Macola 
  • Identify duplicate, incomplete, or inconsistent records and document findings 
  • Support data cleanup initiatives and standardization efforts 
  • Compare data between systems to help improve accuracy and consistency 
  • Assist in documenting business rules, workflows, and data relationships 
  • Maintain spreadsheets, reports, and tracking documents related to cleanup efforts 
  • Support Project Phoenix activities related to enterprise system modernization and data governance 

PREFERRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and large sets of data 
  • Ability to analyze information and identify inconsistencies 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new systems and processes 
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets required; familiarity with CRM or ERP systems is a plus

Part-time, 20 hours per week
