What is an enterprise incident manager?

An Enterprise Incident Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing and coordinating the response to significant incidents that disrupt business operations within a large organization. Their role includes managing incident response teams, communicating with stakeholders, identifying the root cause of incidents, and ensuring that resolution processes are followed efficiently. They also develop and implement incident management policies and procedures to minimize risks and improve future response efforts. This position is critical for maintaining business continuity, ensuring compliance, and protecting the organization's reputation.

How does an enterprise incident manager typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during a major incident?

Enterprise Incident Managers play a central role during major incidents by coordinating responses across IT, security, communications, and business operations teams.
