Job description

Medical Assistant — ENT / Sinus Surgery Practice
Breathe Better Institute of Huntsville
3810 Governors Drive SW, Suite 200, Huntsville, AL 35805
Full-time, on-site
About us
Breathe Better Institute is a specialized ENT and sinus surgery practice in Huntsville. We focus on getting patients real relief from chronic sinus and nasal conditions, often through in-office procedures. We're a smaller, growing practice, which means the right person will have real ownership of their work and direct contact with the physicians and leadership rather than being one cog in a large system.
What you'll do

  • Room patients, take vitals, document chief complaints, and update medical histories in our EHR (ModMed)
  • Assist physicians during in-office procedures, including sinus and nasal procedures (setup, instrument handling, patient support, room turnover)
  • Prepare and stock exam and procedure rooms; maintain instruments and supplies
  • Perform basic clinical tasks: injections, specimen handling, and procedure assistance as directed
  • Manage clinical documentation and assist with prior authorizations and referral coordination
  • Communicate with patients about prep, aftercare, and follow-up
  • Maintain a clean, compliant clinical environment (OSHA, HIPAA)

What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program; CMA (AAMA) or RMA certification preferred
  • Prior MA experience in a specialty practice; ENT or surgical experience is a strong plus
  • Comfort assisting with in-office procedures and the ability to stay composed in a hands-on clinical setting
  • Working knowledge of an EHR; ModMed experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong organization, reliability, and patient-facing communication
  • Must be able to pass a background check (conducted after a contingent offer)

What we offer

  • Competitive pay based on experience and certification
  • Medical insurance with employer contribution toward premiums; optional dental and vision; HSA available with eligible plans
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid time off (combined vacation/personal/sick) and paid federal holidays
  • Scrub allowance — up to $500 toward your initial scrubs at hire, plus an annual credit for replacements
  • Ongoing training and professional development in a modern ENT clinic
  • Direct deposit, supportive leadership, and an open-door environment
