Job description

Join T2 Utility Engineers in Golden, CO to play an integral role in mentoring and empowering team members to creatively develop solutions for our clients and their projects. The Project Manager will work closely with clients and the design teams to coordinate the completion of projects while ensuring quality standards, maintaining project schedules, and staying within project budgets

T2 Utility Engineers specializes in providing reliable underground and above-ground utility information to reduce the risks that utilities present for infrastructure projects. T2ue helps clients manage the complexity of existing utilities with our professional and comprehensive Subsurface Utility Engineering, Utility Coordination, and Surveying services.

Our mission is to provide project stakeholders with quality utility information, professional insight, and deliverables that streamline construction, improve project safety, and set the standard for the utility engineering industry. Since 1993, our reputation has been built on providing incomparable service based on high standards of technical ability and project understanding.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interfaces with clients to obtain work by conducting business development meetings
  • Develops and maintains relationships with existing and new clients
  • Support the local office or regional marketing efforts
  • Working with proposal team and respond to requests for information, proposals and/or quotations
  • Initiates, prepares, reviews, and participates in proposals, rate & staff hour estimate preparation, and negotiations
  • Prepares work plans, assembles project team, delegates tasks, and ensures compliance with scope and timely completion of tasks
  • Coordination with subcontractors and overseeing operations for compliance with T2 UES, Inc.โ€™s practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs QA/QC to ensure accurate and high-quality deliverables to clients
  • Reviews invoices and prepares/reviews progress reports to client
  • May serve as a representative of T2 at client meetings
  • Assure that Survey and SUE projects are performed in accordance with established company procedures and industry/client and statutory requirements
  • Review of SUE plans, SUE reports, test hole reports, SUE CADD files
  • Coordination with field crews for data collection and QAQC
  • Reviews and approves design calculations submittals, specifications, and other submittals
  • Conducts utility coordination meetings, documents meeting minutes and maintains files of all activities for each utility agency.
  • Performs follow-up of meeting action items to assure effective coordination results.
  • Assists in recruiting/developing staff

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in civil engineering or construction management plus 4-7 yearsโ€™ experience in civil engineering or 6-8 yearsโ€™ experience in an engineering or related field
  • Ability to effectively network to obtain strategic growth for new business and key clients
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively with strategic visions, organizational capability, and market intimacy
  • Must have strong written and oral communication, supervisory and mentoring, attention to details and accuracy, planning, decision making, problem solving
  • Professional Engineer license in the State of Colorado
  • Preferred OpenRoads, MicroStation, AutoCAD / Civil 3D knowledge a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office and Database Management
  • Knowledge of Subsurface Utility Engineering and Utility Coordination
  • Proficient in survey related mathematical computations
  • Normal office environment with occasional field site visits for progress review and quality control or estimating new work and be able to travel out of town overnight for project assignments
