Job Description

As an Engineering Technician I, you will support resort operations by performing general maintenance, preventative maintenance, work orders, and repair projects across multiple trade disciplines. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with their hands, and providing excellent service while maintaining the resort's high standards.

What You'll Do as an Engineering Technician I:

Complete engineering projects, preventative maintenance, guest service requests, and resort improvement tasks as assigned.
Perform general maintenance, including painting, caulking, drywall, and minor wall repairs.
Troubleshoot and complete basic plumbing repairs on toilets, sinks, showers, faucets, bathtubs, and drains.
Perform basic electrical tasks such as resetting breakers and GFCIs, replacing light bulbs, and testing voltage.
Install, replace, and troubleshoot televisions, remote controls, and other electronic equipment.
Diagnose appliances and complete minor repairs or replacements.
Utilize maintenance management software (HotSOS and other applicable systems) to complete work orders.
Assist with inventory management and ensure tools and materials are available for assigned work.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other maintenance equipment while following all safety procedures.
Identify and report safety hazards and communicate professionally with guests, team members, and leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring as an Engineering Technician I:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Zero (0) to one (1) year of maintenance, skilled trades, facilities, or construction experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and general building maintenance.
Valid driver's license required.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolds, lifts, and other maintenance equipment while using appropriate PPE.
Ability to regularly lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
Required to pass a background check, drug test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
