Experienced Engineering Technical Specialist

Boeing Phantom Works has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Engineering Technical Specialist in Berkeley, MO.

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works is seeking a Experienced Engineering Technical Specialist to join our team in Berkley, MO. Phantom Works is Boeing Defense's advanced design division that is responsible for designing, building, and testing the future capabilities for our Nation's defense. The Phantom Works' portfolio has grown significantly over the past few years, and we need to grow our team to solve some of the toughest challenges. This position is part of the Advanced Mission Systems, Effects, and Payloads (AMSEP) team supporting multiple proprietary programs.

The Technical specialist will be responsible for assisting a team of engineers for successful completion of both internal (IRAD) and contracted (CRAD) research and development activities. This role will be required to generate and track project program procurements across multiple programs. In addition, this role will require extreme attention to detail, and the ability to organize multiple program requests into a single source of data. Ideally this individual would be familiar with Electronic Warfare (EW) systems to understand technical challenges the team is trying to solve.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating program procurements for IRAD and CRAD efforts

  • Will develop tracking metrics to ensure support functions (supply chain, finance, etc), and providing engineering the required data.

  • Coordinate across multiple engineers within the AMSEP team to help achieve program deliverables.

  • Must have a high degree of attention to detail

  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office products and Adobe

  • Must have experience with Boeing procurement, Capital, and facilities planning tools.

  • Must be able to ask "why" until you get to the root of the request to ensure proper process is being followed and program/customer/Boeing requirements are being followed.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing and analyzing data for a cross-functional team

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and presentations

  • Cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, data storytelling, attention to detail, stakeholder management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor Degree or Higher

  • Experience with Boeing procurement systems (CAPRS), Capital (GOLD), and financial reporting systems

  • Active Top-Secret Security Clearance
