Job description

Join the leader in paper converting and become a member of the Valmet team as a Technical Service Project Specialist

With a strong technical focus and a passion for helping customers solve problems, the Technical Service Specialist role could be your next career move.

As Project Specialist serving the technical team, you will work closely with customers to understand business needs and present Valmet technical solutions to create strategies that meet their goals. You will develop proposals that include scope definition, specifications, performance guarantees, cost estimates, and pricing. You will collaborate with Italian counterparts, technicians, Engineers, Sales Managers, and other Service Specialists to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary customer contact for service issues via phone, email, and visits.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, spares, and mods to deliver technical information.
  • Schedule technicians for installations, start-up, and training.
  • Track project scope, schedule, and finances.
  • Manage technician hours per contract and customer quotes.
  • Prepare concise project reports highlighting key points.
  • Support design reviews and follow up on Punch List items.
  • Engage customers to promote services.

Expectations

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Computer and Admin skills
  • Ability to work daily in the office / In person
  • Ability to read drawings, schematics and standard operating procedures
  • Tissue Converting Machine maintenance or troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for technical sales or project support

This position is located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Candidate must be living and authorized to work in the US, as this position is not eligible for domestic or international relocation or sponsorship.
