The Project Engineer is the engineering team leader managing all technical activities on assigned projects while following company procedures. Work closely with project manager, project planner, sub-contract manager, project design lead, and functional department engineers to ensure a project is engineered to building codes, industry codes & standards, and contract specifications.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor projects; develop scope of work; partner with departments and sub-contractors; facilitate construction plans and documents with constructors.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and on-time completion of project technical documents, RFQ's for material and equipment, conformed contract purchase documents, commissioning procedures, O&M Manuals, acceptance test procedures, and reports.
  • Initiate and monitor the DMS system including the RFI's, NCR's, etc.
  • Coordinate project's engineering effort ensuring technical compliance with project specifications and codes.
  • Serve as primary company engineering representative to clients on technical issues.
  • Conduct and participate in meetings with clients, consulting engineers, sub-contract engineers, and major equipment & fabricator suppliers to provide technical leadership.
  • Secure adequate technical resources to execute a project's engineering requirements.
  • Partner with project team and engineering department to develop the project schedule / design plan.
  • Work with the project team to execute the contract in accordance with the schedule, budget, scope, engineering design plans, and engineering resources.
  • Manage the engineering project hours and scheduled activities, and report progress and problems.
  • Manage and coordinate engineering subcontractors, including the development of the project schedule, time receipt of deliverables.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, agreements, graphs, tables, and presentations, as required.

  • Proficiency in use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and knowledge of Primavera (P6v7).

Licenses & Certificates:
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License a plus
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
