Job description

General:
The Engineering Administrative Coordinator provides technical and administrative support to the Process Engineering and Quality Engineering teams, including Welding and Stamping.
This position centralizes document control, customer portal submissions, trial parts, purchasing, BOM creation, and process documentation. The role helps improve organization, accuracy, traceability, and consistency while allowing engineers to focus on production optimization and engineering projects.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update Engineering Department documents and records.
  • Submit required documents through customer portals and track submissions.
  • Monitor, receive, organize, and maintain inventory of trial parts and samples.
  • Update and maintain II Work Instructions and support SUS activities.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) for new model projects in Plex.
  • Research suppliers, request quotations, and issue Purchase Orders.
  • Maintain records of quotations, suppliers, and purchases.
  • Support Process and Quality Engineers with administrative and technical tasks.
  • Assist with engineering activities and information gathering on the shop floor.
  • Help standardize engineering documents, processes, and work instructions.
  • Ensure documents and records are accurate, current, and properly controlled.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Purchasing, suppliers, and customers as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or manufacturing-related education or experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn and use Plex and customer portals.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with CATIA Viewer.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.
  • Experience using measuring tools, including, Calipers, Micrometers, and CMM
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
