Sr. Project Manager

Job Summary


The Sr. Project Manager will provide guidance to all supporting departments.  The role will be responsible for client/customer communication and the on-time and on-budget delivery of projects.


Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide clients and internal project disciplines (Quality, HSE, Operations, Accounting) with potential solutions when issues arise.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinate across engineering, fabrication, quality assurance, procurement, and operations teams to ensure alignment on project deliverables.
  • Review and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications, and 3D models to support accurate fabrication and assembly.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, codes, and certifications
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, inspectors, and regulatory representatives, providing regular updates and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating issues and developing corrective action plans as needed.
  • Monitor and enforce safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout project execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.
  • Prepare and present status reports, forecasts, and project performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Serve as liaison between client and internal disciplines. Provide drawings, specifications, work packs to fabrication shops and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Manage multiple jobs/clients simultaneously.
  • Organize and maintain documentation via SharePoint.
  • Prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a Project Management role, preferably with a focus on fabrication or construction in Aerospace.
  • Proven experience managing fabrication or construction projects in the aerospace sector, with a strong understanding of structural and precision component manufacturing.  
  • Working knowledge of aerospace fabrication methods including welding, machining, assembly, and testing of flight or mission-critical components.  
  • Ability to read, interpret, and manage projects using aerospace drawings, models, and technical specifications.  
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality and regulatory standards (AS9100, NADCAP, FAA, NASA, or equivalent).  
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and execute projects to meet strict deadlines and budgetary constraints.  
  • Skilled in cross-functional coordination between engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and fabrication teams.  
  • Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) and ERP/MRP systems.  
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage directly with customers, inspectors, and regulatory bodies.
