Job description

Job Title: Material Program Manager
Location: Houma, LA
Position Overview: The Material Program Manager manages all aspects of program material management and reporting. Has overall responsibility for program material for all programs under contract. Reports directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain Management and Pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on material financial health of one or more programs simultaneously.
  • Develop and maintain detailed estimate at complete and risk and opportunity analysis for the program(s).
  • Responsible for the establishment and performance reporting to the Material Performance Measurement Baseline and Control Account Plan.
  • Develop and report detailed cost and schedule variance explanations.
  • Program lead for all Cost Account Management activities of one or more programs.
  • Program lead ensuring material updates are provided to internal and external stakeholders on one or more programs.
  • Works cross functionally to ensure material requirements are clearly defined.

Qualifications:
  • Two (2) to Six (6) years of experience in subcontract-related fields like Program Management, Contract Administration, Purchasing, or Engineering.
  • Familiar material and service sourcing activities such as quoting, analyzing, negotiating, reporting and supplier rationalization
  • Data analysis experience and training preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of Earned Value Management practices.
  • Ability to present information articulately with an understanding of details.
  • Possess ability to work in a high paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of procurement practices in a Government Contracting environment.
  • Strong ability to set up, model and track material program financial metrics.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and external customers.
  • Strategic thinker able to drive success throughout the company.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills
