Job Location: Anaheim CA, Herndon VA, Camden NJ, Palm Bay FL, Northampton MA or Millersville MD.

Schedule:  9/80-  Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off

 

Job Description:

The Program Management Excellence (PMX) team within the Maritime Sector is looking to fill a Functional Lead role.  The successful candidate should be an experienced Program Manager and/or Engineering Manager who is well-versed in People, Process, and Tools best practices within the Aerospace & Defense industry.  The successful candidate will serve as the enabler for Engineering execution across all programs in the sector.  The candidate must be able to lead cross-functionally with the other members of the Maritime PMX staff, Engineering functional partners and the sector's IPTs to drive predictable program performance. 

Essential Functions:

  • Drive and support predictable performance across all sector programs for the Engineering function
  • Partner with program, other IPT members with Engineering function to support ensure executable baseline plan (cost and schedule)
  • Drive and support program baseline planning for the Engineering function
  • Manage Division CAM training for the Engineering function
  • Partner with program, IPT members with the Engineering function to ensure Engineering IPT lead / CAM excellence
  • Serve as and IPT support member and advocate for Engineering functional initiatives within sector programs
  • Assist and support the function for Gate and Independent Reviews for the sector
  • Drive program R&O management for the Engineering function
  • Support Engineering with EAC/ETC development, review, and approval
  • Support the program, IPT and Engineering function for preperation of various sector and division reviews
  • Reensure Engineering policy and process requirements are applied within programs
  • Support continuous improvement projects
  • Coordinates and adjudicates PMX support priorities

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience
    • or post-graduate degree and 10 years of experience
    • or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
  • Ability to obtain Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance 
  • 10+ years of prior experience in Aerospace & Defense program management, Engineering management and EVMS
  • Experience managing Profit & Loss (P&L)
  • Demonstrated ability to present to executives/management on important topics
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, identify problems and propose solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, across geographically-dispersed teams
  • Ability to Travel at least 25%

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance
  • Prior experience managing Profit & Loss (P&L)
  • Prior experience managing direct reports
  • Prior experience providing instructional training to program team(s)
  • Ability to Travel - up to 50%

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $133K-$247K.  For California, New Jersey, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $153-$284K.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
