The Work

Selected candidate will be the First Line Manager for a team of Specialty Engineers with expertise in Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RMA), System Safety, and Electromagnetic Effects Engineering (EEE).

Responsibilities
  • Owner/focal point for Specialty Engineering program execution and proposal development.
  • Development of Specialty Engineering solutions, modeling and analysis for systems, system of systems, subsystems, and parts; develop cost estimates and lead proposal efforts.
  • Coordinate employee work assignments, recruitment and hiring, training and career development, performance assessments, salary actions, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with RMS Specialty Engineering leaders, program leadership, suppliers, and customers.
  • Establish organizational vision, goals, and metrics to track performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
  • Experience in one or more of the following domains: Reliability and Maintainability, System Safety, Integrated Logistics Support, or EEE.
  • Solid understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated full‑scope leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous leadership experience as project lead, functional lead, or program lead.
Desired Skills
  • Working knowledge of Vemo and staffing analysis.
  • Experience with Digital Transformation & Model Based Engineering.
  • Understanding of EVMS and Cost Account Management (CAM) responsibilities.
  • Experience in establishing milestones and monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules.
  • Working knowledge of AI applications to enhance performance and support artifact development.
Security Clearance

This position requires a government security clearance. The employee must be a U.S. citizen. Clearance level: Secret.

Employment Type

Full‑time. Shift: First. Work schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week, with part‑time remote telework.
