Test & Evaluation Engineering Manager

The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineering Manager to join our team in Berkeley, MO or Saint Charles, MO.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing Electrical Fabrication, Assembly, and Lab/Flight Test Technicians in support of Air Dominance, Phantom Works, and Weapons programs.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage employees performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines

  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals

  • Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manage, develop and motivate employees

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position, you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

  • 3+ years of experience with Lean+ and/or Lean 5S

  • Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM)

  • Experience working with business partners to improve design requirements

  • Test and evaluation experience

  • Experience working in complex manufacturing and laboratory environments
