The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our team in Jessup, MD! The ideal candidate has an interest in database technologies and is eager to learn Oracle fundamentals, software engineering best practices, and real-world application development. This internship offers hands-on experience working with enterprise systems in a collaborative engineering environment. The position will be a hybrid schedule, allowing for a balance between in-person collaboration and independent work from home.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of applications that interact with Oracle databases.
  • Learn and write basic SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support database-related development tasks, data validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning sessions, and other Agile team ceremonies.
  • Help document technical processes, system behavior, and application workflows.
  • Contribute to testing, debugging, and quality assurance efforts.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to understand system architecture and implementation details.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
