Job description

Responsibilities

We seek well prepared students of top engineering schools to expand their education in structural engineering through the internship program offered at Walter P Moore. As an engineering intern in our Secure Design practice, you will participate on project teams for architectural projects of all types, including commercial, sports, healthcare, and public assembly buildings. You will also be eligible to participate in our in-house staff development program.

Qualifications

A sound technical background, strong communication skills and enthusiasm for the challenges of designing great structures are required.   

  • BS - Civil Engineering or completion of a minimum of 24 hours of engineering coursework towards BS in Civil Engineering
  • Accepted in or plans to apply for graduate program in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis
  • EIT preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill required
  • Flexible scheduling but should be consistently available a minimum of 20 hours per week

This position has an annual salary range as stated below and is, in good faith, an estimate. The actual offered salary will be dependent on the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, geographic location, industry experience and internal equity. Walter P Moore reserves the right to offer more or less than the posted range based on the criteria previously stated and will do so in a manner that does not discriminate against a candidate's protected status per local, state and federal law.

$25.30 - $35.20/ hour dependinant on courses taken and toal credit hours in pursuit of a Master's degree
