As an Engineering Intern at Olea, you will gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing plant, while learning from some of the best Engineers, Designers, and Manufacturing Professionals in the industry.
The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include:
  • Audit and update Bill of Material (BOM) against 3D SolidWorks models
  • Audit and update hardware equipment installed into products on our manufacturing line, against design data in ERP system and SolidWorks
  • Perform design checks of new and modified designs, according to established design criteria checklists
  • Update SolidWorks models to add or correct fastener hardware
  • Update SolidWorks models to bring older component design files into compliance with new design standards
  • Incorporate Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
  • Participate in design reviews of new and modified Engineering designs

This is a part-time, on-site position is Cerritos, CA. As an intern, we realize that your education comes first, and we will work with you to find a work schedule that fits with your class schedule. Starting pay for this position is $17.50 per hour.
Requirements
To be considered for the position, candidates should have the following qualifications:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks Pro
  • Able to contribute ideas to a highly collaborative and creative team
