Job description

As a Technical Service Engineer Manager here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will be responsible for assisting HVAC/R OEMs, end users, contractors and sales personnel to promote and qualify Solstice HVAC/R refrigerant options and other related products and service offerings. ย The group's primary responsibility includes assisting on customer sales calls, assisting in technical field trials, answering technical questions, providing feedback to the R&D group for new product development and assisting in prototyping and field trials of new products. ย You will be responsible for assisting across all segments of the HVAC/R industry. ย 

In this role, you will have impact on the sales, marketing and introduction of Solstice refrigerant offerings. You will demonstrate Solstice advanced materials technical expertise across multiple platforms. ย 

You will report directly to our Technical Services Director, and you will work out of our Buffalo, NY or Morris Plains location.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with HVAC refrigerant solutions
  • Field service history/application experience
  • An understanding of refrigerant properties and a firm grasp of the refrigeration cycle
  • Customer facing experience
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Ability to visit remote job sites and end users' facilities, including negotiating mechanical rooms and rooftop equipment

WE VALUE

  • Field work experience across multiple segments including commercial refrigeration, commercial air-conditioning, chiller start up and maintenance and industrial refrigeration
  • EPA certification
  • Leadership or specialized skills such as holding a service manager position
  • Technical background across the refrigeration and air conditioning fields including knowledge of retrofit procedures, fluid systems and air delivery systems

COMPENSATION

The annual base salary range for this position is $196,359-$245,743. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities or the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive eligible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly answer technical service inquiries and maintain sfdc database
  • Support marketing and sales teams using your technical expertise in face-to-face customer contact scenarios

  • Support refrigerant retrofits to Solstice low GWP offerings, instruct field personnel on proper procedures
  • Stay abreast of regulations and guide the industry on refrigerant choice
  • Contribute to technical manuals, data sheets and publications pertaining to Solstice refrigerant and service offerings
