Job description

Responsible for all manufacturing engineering functions including but not limited to the following:

  • Driving continuous improvement activities within the organization
  • Responsible for talent management and organizational effectiveness within responsible area
  • Lead ITAR compliance program and Import/Export Licenses
  • Responsible for engineering liaison activity between ADM-Phoenix and ADM-Nogales
  • Conducts contract reviews on new customer purchase orders
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate configuration management within the ERP system (Visual)
  • Coordinates planning and preparation of MOTs, travelers, and tooling for new production orders
  • Manages customer drawing database and storage
  • Responsible for storage and retrieval of documentation in MDS
  • Monitors staff work schedules
  • Supports shop operations
  • Trouble shoots with other managers on production related matters
  • Identifies and implements new manufacturing technologies
  • Responsible for workforce in Manufacturing Engineering and MDS areas
  • Establishing rapport with customers
  • Assists with customer issue resolution
  • Sales correspondence/cost price evaluation
  • Responsible for Make/Buy analysis


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Cost control, negotiation, contract management, critical thinking, task/ quality management and communication are key skills and abilities for this role


  • Must have strong machining and assembly skills
  • Strong communication skills to interface with all facets of the organization accordingly
  • May perform other duties as requested
  • Travel to Nogales, MX as business needs necessitate

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelorโ€™s of Science degree required (preferably in Engineering), MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing related field. Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) and producing complex aerospace components preferred.
  • Computer skills are necessary including Microsoft applications, ERP applications and a working knowledge of solid modeling and CNC programming
