Job description

SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Engineering & Controls Manager to lead a team responsible for electrical design, automation systems, power distribution projects, and engineering operations with a rapidly growing industrial manufacturing organization. This leadership role offers the opportunity to drive innovation, oversee project execution, and support continued company growth within industrial and energy-related markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical professionals.
  • Oversee electrical design and control system development for industrial applications.
  • Review customer specifications and translate requirements into manufacturable solutions.
  • Prepare and review engineering documentation, including schematics, drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Support proposal development and project execution activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes, quality, and efficiency.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Manage project schedules, engineering resources, and departmental priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical, safety, and quality standards.
  • Interface with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders on technical matters.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of electrical engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, industrial controls, and power distribution.
  • Experience with electrical CAD software and engineering documentation.
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with industrial automation platforms is highly desirable.
  • ERP/MRP system experience is a plus.
