Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their Quality Department and lead a team of 3โ€“5 employees. This role partners closely with Production and Engineering to ensure compliance with customer and industry quality standards while responding to customer inquiries and driving continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Quality Department, including scheduling and supervising staff
  • Maintain compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
  • Conduct internal audits and support external/customer audits
  • Oversee inspection processes, gage control, PPAPs, First Article Inspections, and Root Cause Corrective Actions
  • Manage customer quality requirements through portals (GE experience required), contract reviews, and customer communications
  • Create and maintain inspection method sheets (IMS), work instructions, and quality procedures
  • Review material certifications, vendor documentation, and inspection records
  • Assist with in-process inspections and production support as needed


Qualifications:

  • Previous Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, auditing, PPAP, First Article Inspection, and Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience with customer portals (GE preferred), blueprint reading, balloon drawings, and inspection methods
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
