What this job involves:

As Chief Engineer at JLL, you will serve as Engineering Program Manager supporting JLL's client, Amazon Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF), holding responsibility for engineering program support within your assigned area and back-up support for the Regional Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for managing and performing administrative tasks related to individual program ownership with excellent communication skills to follow up that processes are current, reviewed/revised accordingly, updated, and shared including Asset Life Cycle & Reliability; CapEx, D&C Closeout & Commissioning Asset Gather, and MEP employee comfort systems. This role contributes to JLL's business objectives by offering support to the Regional Engineering Manager on existing or escalating MEP troubleshooting and repairs within your area while partnering with the Regional Engineering Manager and Project Managers on new builds and projects ensuring consistency to standards and GREF Programs. You will maintain JLL's reputation for excellence in corporate real estate services through seamless engineering program management coordination and ownership of partnering with area site teams in creation, recommendation, and approval for engineering programs such as Planned Outages, ACDC, and COE.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Manage individual program ownership with excellent communication skills to follow up that processes are current, reviewed/revised accordingly, updated, and shared including Asset Life Cycle & Reliability; CapEx, D&C Closeout & Commissioning Asset Gather, and MEP employee comfort systems
  • Offer support to Regional Engineering Manager on existing or escalating MEP troubleshooting and repairs within area
  • Partner with Regional Engineering Manager and Project Managers on new builds and projects ensuring consistency to standards and GREF Programs
  • Own partnering with area site teams in creation, recommendation, and approval for engineering programs such as Planned Outages, ACDC, and COE
  • Use data trends to identify potential system problems and proactively work with teams in solutioning/verification including Hot/Cold Calls and SEV1 (Emergency) and SEV2 (Urgent) Reactive Work Orders
  • Assist Regional Engineering Manager with Corrigo MEP Assets and Preventative Maintenance Programs ensuring Assets are current with applicable JACS coding and PM programs meet equipment requirements for life expectancy and longevity
  • Manage warranty program including ensuring all device warranty dates are recorded
  • Partner with area SFM's and FM's on obtaining site specific information for Global Engineering, Sustainability, and other requests on low/no cost initiatives to drive and improve customer satisfaction
  • Verify MEP standards are programmed and met at site locations while identifying potential design impacts
  • Identify value add opportunities and partner with Regional Engineer Manager in development of narrative while managing equipment PM schedules.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree in technology or engineering strongly preferred with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing background a plus
  • 3-5+ years of program management experience implementing efficient large-scale platform projects through full project lifecycle strongly preferred
  • Capability to provide thought leadership and direction on assigned programs ensuring disciplined execution and continuous improvement of Program and Project Management practices
  • Excellent leadership skills with ability to influence stakeholders and team members with variety of personal styles to focus on right priorities under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Effective conflict and impediments management in fast-paced environment with capability to take higher responsibilities working with cross-functional team who are working on multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying/closing gaps in program development/implementation lifecycle
  • Self-motivated and independent critical thinker who can visualize and guide team during conflicting situations to stay focused on business goals and priorities
  • Proven experience in process development and project management principles leading to improved outcomes with ability to prioritize activities and work on multiple activities or priorities at once and stay on track and within budget
  • Experience communicating effectively with leaders regarding program scope, schedule, budget, risks, mitigation strategies, status, and expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing individual program ownership with excellent communication skills to follow up that processes are current and reviewed/revised accordingly
  • Background with Asset Life Cycle & Reliability and CapEx programs
  • Understanding of D&C Closeout & Commissioning Asset Gather processes
  • Knowledge of MEP employee comfort systems with experience offering support to Regional Engineering Manager on existing or escalating MEP troubleshooting and repairs
  • Experience partnering with Regional Engineering Manager and Project Managers on new builds and projects ensuring consistency to standards and GREF Programs
  • Background owning partnering with area site teams in creation, recommendation, and approval for engineering programs such as Planned Outages, ACDC, and COE
  • Understanding of using data trends to identify potential system problems and proactively working with teams in solutioning/verification
  • Experience with Hot/Cold Calls and SEV1 (Emergency) and SEV2 (Urgent) Reactive Work Orders
