Job description

We are currently seeking a talented DevOps Engineer / Back End Developer to join our mission-driven team supporting a high impact project aimed at improving the Developer Experience (DevEx) for our customer.

Role Overview

We are looking for a DevOps / Backend Engineer who is passionate about developer experience, platform tooling, and backend infrastructure. This role focuses on building and maintaining internal developer tools, improving development workflows, and helping design scalable backend systems.

You will work across DevOps, backend services, and developer tooling to make our engineering teams more productive. This includes creating tooling such as linkers, scanners, and CI/CD integrations, improving Helm chart infrastructure, and contributing to backend architecture and design systems.

You will also play a key role in supporting UX lab operations, collaborating with clients during technical reviews, and helping shape backend system design.

Key ResponsibilitiesDeveloper Experience & Internal Tooling
  • Build and maintain internal developer tools that improve productivity and workflow automation.

  • Develop utilities such as code scanners, dependency tools, and build/linker tooling.

  • Improve the developer experience (DevEx) across the platform.

DevOps & Infrastructure
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines.

  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes deployments using Helm charts.

  • Implement automation and infrastructure improvements to support engineering teams.

  • Improve monitoring, reliability, and operational tooling.

Backend Development
  • Design and implement backend services and APIs.

  • Contribute to backend design systems and architecture.

  • Build scalable and maintainable systems that support internal platforms and external clients.

Platform & Client Work
  • Help operate and evolve RUXAILAB infrastructure and tooling.

  • Participate in client technical reviews and provide backend design guidance.

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure scalable platform architecture.

Required Skills
  • Strong experience in backend development (Java, Node.js, Go, Python, or similar).

  • Experience with Kubernetes and Helm.

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Experience building developer tooling or internal platforms.

  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud infrastructure.

  • Strong understanding of backend architecture and API design.

  • Ability to improve developer workflows and engineering productivity.
