Job description

CNR Technologies is seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level IT Support Engineer (Tier 1) to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone starting their IT career who wants hands-on experience, ongoing training, and exposure to real-world systems and environments.
As a Tier 1 Engineer, you’ll provide first-line technical support, assist clients with common IT issues, and work closely with senior engineers to learn, grow, and advance your skills. This is a highly supportive, team-oriented environment with continual opportunities for development.
Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve common client issues including:
    • Email, Outlook, and Microsoft Office problems
    • Printer and imaging issues
    • User accounts, password resets, and workstation setup
    • Basic server and network-related tasks (with guidance)
  • Provide support through:
    • Remote assistance
    • Phone support
    • Onsite client visits as needed
  • Travel to client locations primarily in Woodstock and surrounding areas (occasional travel outside the region)
  • Document work thoroughly in tickets and follow established processes
  • Escalate advanced issues to Tier 2/Tier 3 engineers when needed
Skills & Requirements

  • CompTIA A+ (preferred but not required if actively pursuing)
  • Basic experience supporting Windows systems (Outlook, printers, Office apps, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills when explaining technical issues to clients
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow into a more advanced role
  • Customer service experience or any client-facing role strongly preferred
  • Reliable transportation for onsite visits
  • Ability to work additional hours when needed
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive, solutions-focused attitude
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ticketing/CRM systems is a plus
