Assembly Technician Description
The Assembly Technician person works to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the building of servos and/or Sub-Assembly of parts within the servos while communicating with all members of the team as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION
  • Education: High School Diploma, or GED equivalent.
  • Work Experience: At least 3 years overall, preferably in the aircraft, automotive or marine industries performing engine system work.
  • A working knowledge and familiarity with engineering drawings, overhaul manuals, and assembly procedures.
  • Strong mechanical intuition and inclination.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply.)
Grade 1 Technician
  • The Grade 1 Technician is new to the position, learning to overhaul/test servos.
  • All overhaul work is being accomplished under the supervision of a Grade 2 Technician or higher.
  • Learn to evaluate all cores and their associated documents before beginning assembly and test.
  • Confirm the accuracy of information in the documented sleeve in describing the parts in the overhaul bin.
  • Understand any customer supplied information that may describe issues experienced with the fuel system, specific delivery requirements, and any other relevant requirements.
  • Establish that the latest overhaul information for the system in question is readily available and thoroughly understood before Assembly and Test work begins.
  • Ensure that the assembly and test of the fuel system is in compliance with all equipment manufacturer's overhaul manual and Airflow's Quality Manual requirements.
  • Performing all duties in a manner that avoids unnecessary exposure to machinery, cleaning agents etc. Fulfilling this responsibility can only be achieved by:
    • The study and comprehension of the Safety Data Sheets provided.
    • Wearing the safety goggles provided.
    • Wearing the appropriate and designated safety equipment when performing tear-down.

Compensation commensurate with experience. Starting Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
