Energy transition consulting is open to professionals of various ages, and entering the field at 30 is common. Success depends on relevant skills, experience, and certifications such as environmental or energy policy knowledge, rather than age alone.

How do I get into energy consulting?

To enter energy transition consulting, candidates typically need a background in engineering, environmental science, or related fields, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Gaining experience through internships, certifications in renewable energy or sustainability, and familiarity with industry tools like energy modeling software can improve prospects. Networking and staying informed about industry trends also help in securing entry-level or junior roles.

What are some common challenges faced by energy transition consultants when implementing sustainability strategies for clients?

Energy transition consultants often encounter challenges such as aligning stakeholder interests, navigating complex regulatory environments, and overcoming resistance to organizational change.
