Job Description

This role provides leadership and management/technical oversight for the design, development, and implementation of operations and chemistry programs. This role functions as a member of an operations and maintenance engineering team that is responsible for developing operations, chemistry and maintenance specific Engineering Programs and related activities.


Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and licensing of the Plant.
  • Works closely with the Operations Engineering Program Managers, Leads, systems engineers, and other mechanical, electrical, and process design engineers to obtain all necessary inputs to develop the necessary Operations Programs.
  • Accountable for the flow down overall plant Nuclear Safety Philosophy to the operations engineering programs.
  • Ensure plans, policies, procedures, processes, and practices are documented and flexible in defining the Operations Engineering Programs.
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using well defined engineering procedures, which may include routine engineering studies to support system design issues.
  • Provide oversight in a variety of topics including developing innovative procedures, improved design recommendations or equipment recommendations.
  • Engage with vendors in the development of plans, policies, procedures, processes, and practice successful implementation of Operations Engineering Programs throughout the plant design.
  • Manage the development of design guides to support System Engineers in implementing necessary Engineering Program requirements throughout their design.
  • Provide responsible and accountable leadership to ensure organization objectives are achieved (mission success).
  • Lead the design of chemical processing systems.
  • Oversee the development of specifications for chemistry process equipment, and work with equipment suppliers to ensure critical design characteristics are met for equipment delivery.
  • Work with regulatory team to establish safety policies, safety controls and procedures for individuals working with hazardous chemicals, processes, or equipment.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Ten plus years of relevant professional experience in a nuclear, chemical, or other highly regulated environment, with a minimum of three years in a management role.
  • Work experience in the design, construction, and/or operation in an industrial facility.
  • Knowledge of and experience in company operations.
  • Strong background in Chemistry programs.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience as an SRO, Operations Superintendent, Plant Manager, Nuclear Operations, Shift Manager

Work Site Expectations:5 days in office
Travel Expectations:Up to 40%
Hours:Standard office hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm ET, Monday - Friday

Compensation

Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.

Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual's qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:
