Responsibilities

ThePower & EnergyGroup Leaderis responsible forleading and growing ourpower and energyservice lines, including strategic planning, technical delivery, and operational performance. This role oversees project execution, team development, and client engagement while driving revenue growth and service expansion. The Group Leader serves as a senior technical leader andbusiness developer whilemaintaininga positive customer service attitude and demonstrating ECS Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements strategic business plans for the focused service line or sector
  • Drives growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Pursue power and energy sector opportunities throughout the Mid-Atlantic region
  • Participatein maintenance of power and energy clientele needs
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with contractors, clients, and industry partners
  • Leads and develops a team of engineers and technical professionals
  • Oversees project delivery, including technical design, calculations, and reporting
  • Reviews and approves project deliverables, including plans, specifications, and engineering analyses
  • Evaluates contractor submittals, including materials, procedures, and testing documentation
  • Ensures high-quality technical execution across all projects
  • Manages staffing, workload distribution, and team performance
  • Oversees day-to-day operations of the service line or sector
  • Ensures compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and company standards
  • Supports project work as needed during service line or sector development
  • Prepares and reviews proposals, budgets, and project financials
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in any of the multi-disciplined Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, and Geology

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or other license may be required in each of the state(s) in which you work

  • If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required

  • 10 years of related experience as an engineering consultant/designer in the Geotechnical industry

    • Capable of meeting the promotion requirements of an ECS Associate Principal or Principal within 6 months of hire date

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Advanced project management, technical consulting, and business development skills
  • Expert knowledge of geotechnical principles and applications in the power and energy sector, including substations, electric transmission, and power generation
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to build and lead high-performing teams
  • Strong understanding of consulting operations, budgeting, and financial performance
  • Experience in supervising junior staff and managing allaspect of project deliverables (consulting reports, plans,specificationsand calculations)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment

The expected pay range for this role and location is $125k - $175k/year. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
