What are some typical projects or responsibilities for professionals working in an Energy Group within a company?

Professionals in an Energy Group often engage in projects related to energy procurement, sustainability initiatives, and efficiency improvements. Common responsibilities include analyzing energy usage data, negotiating with suppliers, developing strategies to reduce costs, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Collaboration with engineering, operations, and sustainability teams is frequent, as energy professionals work to implement solutions across the organization. These roles offer opportunities to contribute to impactful projects that align with both business goals and environmental objectives.

What jobs will no longer exist in 2030?

In the energy sector, roles heavily reliant on manual labor or outdated technologies, such as certain coal mining jobs, are expected to decline due to automation and a shift toward renewable energy sources. These roles typically require significant expertise, leadership skills, and years of experience.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in an energy group role, and why are they important?

Strong analytical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills help professionals effectively work on complex projects and with diverse teams.
