SALARY RANGE: $90,000-$130,000

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Under the direction of the CEO, the Energy Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the Energy, Propane and Service Marketing Plan, the profitability of the departments and the supervision of the assigned Energy & Propane team employees.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Supervises, leads and develops the Energy/Propane Management and Sales Team.
  • Develops and implements Energy/Propane Marketing Plans including marketing communications, strategic plans and target budgets, etc.
  • Responsible for the profitability of the Energy/Propane Department through target marketing, competitive analysis, pricing strategies, continual management and evaluation of people and structure, managing fixed assets and inventories, etc.
  • Provides leadership to the Energy/Propane Sales Team by setting performance expectations, managing sales activities, calling on key customers and serving as a communication and public relations link to the company.
  • Oversee and assist the credit manager as to the credit worthiness of customers and the accounts receivable administration.
  • Implements a risk management plan with Energy/Propane products.
  • Develops beneficial relationships with required vendors for Energy/Propane products.
  • Attends required meetings as requested.
  • Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Functional Skills

  • Understanding and experience in marketing strategy, marketing program execution, price strategy, budgeting and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience including hiring, coaching, counseling, performance evaluations, training and development, etc. and the ability to get work done through others.
  • Proven team building skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proven professional communication, customer service, and persuasion and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated organization and planning skills and the ability to develop marketing plans, performance expectations, budgets, etc.
  • Ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.

  • Demonstrated core skills including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making and skill development.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.
  • Ability to work hours beyond those considered normal.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
