Since 1986, we've helped our clients save more than $7.3 billion in utility costs while earning recognition as a 13-time ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year.
As an Energy Specialist, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to your clients—building relationships, solving problems, and helping organizations operate more efficiently. While experience in energy management is helpful, it isn't required. We provide the training; your communication skills, initiative, and ability to influence positive change are what matter most.

  • Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development
  • A collaborative culture that values initiative, innovation, and continuous improvement

As an Energy Specialist, you will:
  • Build trusted relationships with assigned client contacts.
  • Conduct routine site visits to evaluate facility operations and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor energy performance using company tools and reporting systems.

  • Partner with facility teams and leadership to implement energy-saving initiatives.
  • Document observations, activities, and recommendations accurately.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and internal teams to ensure continued success.
  • Represent Cenergistic professionally while delivering exceptional client service.

Successful Energy Specialists are:
  • Excellent communicators who enjoy working with people.

  • Customer-focused, consultative, and relationship-driven.
  • Curious, adaptable, and comfortable learning new technology.
  • Proactive problem-solvers with an entrepreneurial mindset.
QualificationsRequired
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams).
  • Valid driver's license.
