Job description

We are seeking a System Administrator — Infrastructure & Operations Support to support our IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365 environment, endpoints, network systems, backups, cybersecurity tools, and manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on mid-level role supporting both office and production environments. The ideal candidate has strong Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, endpoint support, networking, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. Experience in manufacturing or regulated environments is preferred. This person will work onsite in Panorama City, CA 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Administration
  • Support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers, print servers, and Group Policy.
  • Monitor server health, storage usage, event logs, uptime, and system performance.
  • Assist with server patching, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
  • Manage shared folders, NTFS permissions, security groups, and access requests.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory of servers, services, applications, and infrastructure assets.
  • Support file server cleanup, migration, and documentation projects.
Microsoft 365 Administration
  • Administer Microsoft 365 users, licenses, mailboxes, groups, shared mailboxes, and distribution lists.
  • Support Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
  • Assist with MFA, password resets, mailbox permissions, account security, and access control.
  • Troubleshoot email delivery, mailbox access, calendar, Teams, and SharePoint issues.
  • Support mailbox archiving, retention, and compliance-related Microsoft 365 tasks under IT Director guidance.
Endpoint and User Support
  • Provide Tier 2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Support Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, business applications, VPN, and remote access issues.
  • Use NinjaOne or similar RMM tools for remote support, patching, monitoring, inventory, and endpoint maintenance.
  • Build, configure, deploy, and retire workstations and laptops.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Maintain accurate endpoint inventory and device assignment records.
Network and Security Support
  • Support Meraki firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VPN, VLANs, and internet connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Assist with basic network diagnostics, including DNS, DHCP, IP conflicts, latency, wireless issues, and connectivity problems.
  • Monitor and respond to endpoint security alerts using tools such as SentinelOne and Microsoft Defender.
  • Escalate suspected security incidents quickly and clearly.
  • Assist with user access reviews, MFA enforcement, password policy support, and secure configuration practices.
Backup and Disaster Recovery Support
  • Monitor backup jobs and verify successful completion.
  • Escalate backup failures or missed jobs immediately.
  • Assist with restore testing and backup validation.
  • Maintain backup documentation, schedules, and recovery procedures.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity documentation.
Manufacturing and Operations Support
  • Support production-floor workstations, label printers, scanners, shared drives, ERP access, and manufacturing-related systems.
  • Respond quickly to IT issues affecting production, quality, warehouse, shipping, or customer service.
  • Coordinate with vendors for escalated support when needed.
  • Help identify recurring operational issues and recommend permanent fixes.
  • Support business systems access and troubleshooting for ERP, Power BI, and related applications.
Documentation and Compliance Support
  • Create and maintain IT documentation, system inventories, network diagrams, access records, support procedures, and change notes.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, recurring issues, and corrective actions.
  • Support IT change control activities as directed.
  • Maintain awareness of regulated manufacturing expectations, including access control, audit readiness, electronic records, and data integrity.

Required Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of IT support or system administration experience.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file shares, and Group Policy.
  • Microsoft 365 administration experience.
  • Windows 10/11 desktop support experience.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with endpoint management, patching, or RMM tools.
  • Experience monitoring backups or supporting restore processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize issues based on business impact.
  • Ability to work independently and escalate appropriately.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or regulated environments.
