Job description

Description
The History Department of Notre Dame invites applications for an endowed senior chair (full professor) in United States history. We welcome applications from full professors working in any period or specialization of United States history. Position duties include research, teaching, and service. The successful candidate should have an international scholarly reputation as well as a record of excellence in teaching and service. The candidate is expected to take a leadership role in furthering the research, teaching, and service missions of the Department of History and the University of Notre Dame.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a PhD in US History or a closely related field.
