We are seeking a highly experienced Sr JDE CNC professional to serve as the technical owner of our global ERP platform.

This role is responsible for architecture, reliability, performance, and continuous improvement across development, test, and production environments. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across IBM i (AS/400), DB2 for i, Oracle WebLogic, and JDE CNC administration, along with strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of IT Infrastructure and End User Computing, this role partners closely with infrastructure, application, business teams, and managed service providers to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available ERP solutions.

What you’ll do:

Platform Ownership & Architecture

  • Own and govern the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC architecture across all tiers (IBM i, DB2, WebLogic, HTML/JAS).
  • Manage environments, path codes, OMW lifecycle, and package builds.
  • Lead ESU/ASU deployments and tools release upgrades.
  • Define and enforce CNC standards, naming conventions, and migration governance.

Operations, Performance & Reliability

  • Monitor and troubleshoot Enterprise Server, Security Server, HTML/JAS, and RTE processes.
  • Optimize batch (UBE) processing, kernel sizing, queues, caching, and JVM parameters.
  • Ensure platform stability for a large global user base.

High Availability, Replication & Disaster Recovery

  • Manage IBM i high availability (MIMIX).
  • Oversee Precisely CDC replication.
  • Maintain and test DR environments aligned to RPO/RTO objectives.
  • Develop and execute DR runbooks.

Security, Compliance & Controls

  • Administer JDE security, roles, and segregation-of-duties (SoD).
  • Coordinate IBM i user and object-level security.
  • Ensure patching across WebLogic, IBM i PTFs, and JDE tools/ESUs.

Automation, Change & Incident Management

  • Lead CNC-related change, incident, and release management.
  • Partner with development teams on promotions, retrofits, and releases.
  • Drive automation of monitoring, scheduling, and operational tasks.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain documentation (runbooks, diagrams, standards).
  • Mentor CNC and platform engineers.
  • Work and Manage offshore team JDE CNC team members
  • Support ERP roadmap planning and capacity forecasting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across ERP operations.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC experience in enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • IBM i (AS/400) operations
    • DB2 for i
    • Oracle WebLogic administration (mandatory)
  • Proven experience with high availability, replication, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management.
  • Ability to lead globally distributed teams and manage vendors effectively.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Complete onboarding and gain a deep understanding of Atkore’s JDE landscape.
  • Establish familiarity with current CNC architecture, environments, and standards.
  • Build relationships with infrastructure, application, and managed service teams.
  • Stabilize ongoing operations and prioritize key risk areas.

Within 6 months, you’ll:

  • Take full ownership of CNC platform operations and governance.
  • Implement improvements in performance tuning and operational efficiency.
  • Strengthen monitoring, automation, and incident response processes.
  • Enhance DR readiness and validate failover procedures.
  • Drive standardization across environments and release processes.

Within 12 months, you’ll:

  • Mature the CNC platform into a highly reliable, scalable, and automated environment.
  • Lead major initiatives such as tools upgrades, DR optimization, or architecture modernization.
  • Establish best-in-class governance, security, and compliance practices.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in uptime, performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to long-term ERP and infrastructure strategy.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $112,640 - $154,880. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
