Responsibilities
  • Define solution architecture, component interactions, data flows, integrations
  • Own Snowflake operational patterns (environment strategy, warehouse sizing, workload isolation, cost governance)
  • Drive deep SQL performance tuning; design and govern secure data shares and standards
  • Embed data governance and compliance controls (classification, retention, lineage, auditability, access reviews, masking/tokenization where needed)
  • Establish logging/monitoring for audits and investigations
  • Architect Azure foundations and secure network designs (VNet/subnet, NSG, routing, DNS, firewall, Private Link/private endpoints)
  • Implement encryption and secrets/key management patterns; manage certificate-based connectivity (rotation, trust chains, troubleshooting)
  • Build/manage VMs and patching processes; design secure, reliable data transfer approaches; ensure operational readiness via monitoring/alerting
  • Use SQL/Python/PySpark to automate operations and data workflows; promote CI/CD, version control, testing, and repeatable deployments
  • Align stakeholders, lead design reviews, and standardize reusable patterns to accelerate delivery and reduce risk
