Job description

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that deliverables are achieved within scope, budget, and timeline. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of IT project management methodologies.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, including defining project scope, objectives, and timelines for large multi-site and technology initiatives.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders, to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project resources effectively, including assigning tasks, monitoring workloads, and resolving resource conflicts.
  • Manage project budgets and attainment
  • Manage project records within Professional Services Automation (PSA) tool
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings, provide updates to stakeholders, and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing project performance metrics, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing best practices.
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to junior project managers, providing guidance and support to help them grow their skills and expertise.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field is desirable, or proven experience (5+ years) in leading complex projects.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions to overcome project challenges.
  • Ability to handle challenging timelines and unexpected changes within project scope.
  • Experience managing projects in software development, infrastructure deployment, cloud migration, voice, and managed services is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Experience using Salesforce platform preferred.
