Job description

Encore at Wilmington is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Supervisor to provide overnight clinical leadership and ensure high-quality resident care. This role supports the Director of Nursing (DON) and oversees nursing staff, regulatory compliance, and resident safety during the 7am-3pm shift.

The RN Supervisor is accountable for maintaining standards of care, guiding the team, and ensuring smooth overnight operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support nursing staff during overnight shift

  • Conduct rounds and monitor changes in resident condition

  • Ensure accurate documentation, medication administration, and physician order follow-through

  • Review and complete incident and medication error reports

  • Perform chart audits and compliance checks

  • Maintain infection control and regulatory standards

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and leadership

  • Participate in on-call rotation as required

  • Support Quality Assurance and performance improvement initiatives

Qualifications
  • Active Delaware RN License or Compact (Multi-State) RN License required

  • Minimum 2 years RN experience (long-term care preferred)

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of SNF regulations

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
