Job description

Gateway Healthcare, an affiliated partner of Brown University Health, has an opening for a board certified or eligible psychiatrist interested in working with patients with Severe Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI). This is an opportunity to provide outstanding treatment, intervention, and prevention services to adults and children of all cultural and economic backgrounds with behavioral and substance abuse issues, through its residential, outpatient and community-based programs. Choose to work in Johnston or Pawtucket, RI. Gateway Healthcare's continuum of care places it at the forefront of behavioral health care for Rhode Islanders as it transitions to a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic.
About the Job:

  • Work as part of a 12-person care team which includes, case managers, RNs, & counselors
  • Work with either our ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) or IHH (Integrated Health homes) teams
  • Outpatient only
  • Very minimal triaged call from home, 1:6 weeks or better
  • Work Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:30
  • 24 Clinical hours, 14 hours of administrative time per week
  • Option to teach medical students & residents if desired, academic appointment to Brown University
  • Ability to develop special programs and subspecialties
  • J1& H1B visa eligible
  • PSLF eligible
