The GFY team is seeking a motivated Civil Project Engineer eager to contribute to an innovative and collaborative work environment. In this role, you will report to mid-level and senior engineers, supporting a wide range of engineering and technical disciplines, including site design, roadway design, utilities, stormwater management, permitting, and construction observation. Your responsibilities will encompass planning, preliminary and conceptual design, development of construction drawings, permitting processes, and preparation of technical engineering reports. This role will also play a key part in supporting both civil engineering projects and Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) activities, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency throughout all phases of project execution. Working alongside accomplished professionals across civil engineering disciplines, you will benefit from meaningful mentorship to foster your professional growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Produce plans, specifications, and required deliverables on assigned projects on time and within budget
  • Follow supervisor's lead on procedures, calculations, regulatory requirements, and engineering practice

Experience and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will be a Civil Engineer graduate. A Florida Engineer in Training License is preferred. Qualifications and abilities shall include the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Familiarity in the use of CADD tools, such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
  • 1-4 years of experience in the civil engineering field
  • Open roadway design experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Florida Engineer in Training License is preferred
