What is an enablement lead?

An Enablement Lead is a professional responsible for equipping teams—often in sales, customer success, or other client-facing roles—with the tools, training, content, and resources they need to perform at their best. They develop and implement enablement strategies that align with business goals, facilitate onboarding processes, and measure the effectiveness of enablement programs. Enablement Leads act as a bridge between different departments, ensuring that teams have the knowledge and support to succeed in their roles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an enablement lead?

To thrive as an Enablement Lead, you need expertise in sales or customer success processes, instructional design, and a strong understanding of enablement best practices, often supported by a bachelor's degree and relevant experience. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), sales enablement platforms, content creation tools, and data analytics software is typically required. Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills help an Enablement Lead drive engagement and align cross-functional teams. These skills and qualities are crucial for equipping employees with the knowledge and resources needed to achieve business objectives and drive organizational growth.

How does an enablement lead typically collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive performance improvements?

An Enablement Lead works closely with both sales and marketing teams to ensure that each group has the resources, training, and alignment needed to achieve business goals. This collaboration often involves organizing regular workshops, creating and distributing effective sales collateral, and gathering feedback from frontline teams to continuously refine enablement strategies. By acting as a bridge between departments, the Enablement Lead helps streamline communication, reduce silos, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. This role also frequently measures the impact of enablement programs to ensure they directly support revenue growth and team effectiveness.

What is the difference between Enablement Lead vs Sales Trainer?

AspectEnablement LeadSales Trainer
Primary FocusDeveloping sales enablement strategies, tools, and resources to support sales teamsDelivering training sessions to improve sales skills and product knowledge

Work EnvironmentCross-functional teams, sales, marketing, and product departmentsSales teams and individual sales representatives
Required SkillsStrategic planning, content creation, analyticsPublic speaking, training delivery, product knowledge

While both roles support sales performance, the Enablement Lead focuses on strategic enablement initiatives and resource development, whereas the Sales Trainer emphasizes direct training delivery and skill enhancement. The Enablement Lead often oversees broader enablement programs, making it a more strategic role compared to the more tactical Sales Trainer position.

Job description

About the role
Liquid Agency is looking for an AI Enablement Lead to help transform how work gets done across the organization. This role is responsible for turning AI strategy into practical execution-helping teams adopt new tools, redesign workflows, build new capabilities, and realize measurable business impact.
As the internal operational owner of AI adoption, you'll lead the implementation and operationalization of Claude Enterprise, drive agency-wide enablement efforts, and partner with leaders across the business to identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, quality, and speed of work.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and change management. Success requires someone who can translate ideas into action, guide teams through change, facilitate learning, and continuously improve processes as AI capabilities evolve.
What you'll do
  • Lead execution of AI initiatives and adoption programs across the agency.
  • Drive the rollout, enablement, and ongoing optimization of Claude Enterprise.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify opportunities for AI-enabled workflow improvements.
  • Evaluate, test, and refine new ways of working that increase productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, office hours, and hands-on learning opportunities.
  • Develop playbooks, documentation, prompt libraries, and other enablement resources.
  • Collaborate with department AI Champions to support adoption and knowledge sharing.
  • Help teams move successful AI pilots into scalable, repeatable operational processes.
  • Support AI governance efforts by maintaining standards, promoting responsible AI use, and reinforcing confidentiality requirements.
  • Track adoption, engagement, workflow improvements, and business outcomes to measure success.
  • Share learnings, best practices, and recommendations that help advance AI maturity across the agency.

What we're looking for
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, operations, organizational change management, workflow optimization, business transformation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving organizational change.
  • Demonstrated success implementing new tools, technologies, systems, or processes and supporting user adoption.
  • Experience creating and delivering training programs, workshops, documentation, or enablement resources.
  • Strong project management and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive alignment without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on measurable outcomes.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and a passion for helping people work more effectively.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or similar platforms in a professional setting preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement, workflow redesign, digital transformation, or operational excellence initiatives preferred.
  • Experience working in a professional services, consulting, or agency environment.

Why you'll love it
  • Play a foundational role in shaping how AI is adopted and scaled across Liquid.
  • Work directly with leaders across the agency to influence strategy, operations, and ways of working.
  • Help employees unlock new capabilities and work more efficiently through AI.
  • Experiment with emerging technologies and help define best practices for the future of work.
  • Join a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture that values curiosity, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of a remote-first environment while making a visible impact across the organization.
