IT Systems Analyst - POS & Infrastructure Support Primary Location: Northern Suburbs, Illinois V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an IT Systems Analyst - POS & Infrastructure Support for our premier client in Northern Suburbs, Illinois. Education and Experience » Proven experience supporting POS systems and retail IT infrastructure. Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex technical assignments. Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, terminals, printers, and network hardware. Experience with EMV payment device installation and support. Excellent written communication skills, including experience drafting SOPs and technical documentation. Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate with non-technical end users. Excellent multi-tasking and time-management skills. Ability to provide clear, concise reporting to management. Must reside in or near Chicago's north side or northern suburbs, or be willing to commute locally without relocation assistance. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a multi-site retail or distribution environment. Familiarity with network administration and infrastructure design principles. Prior experience in a role supporting both corporate and store-level technology. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Job Responsibilities: Design, install, and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, terminals, printers, and network devices. Install and support organizational application systems, including EMV payment devices. Maintain and support point-of-sale (POS) systems across retail and distribution environments. Independently resolve complex end-user technical issues, escalating only where appropriate. Provide regular feedback and status reports to management on system performance, issues, and resolutions. Author and maintain clear technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs). Deliver a full range of technical IT support activities across multiple systems and platforms. Support multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Partner cross-functionally to ensure minimal downtime and disruption to business operations. Interested?
