Job Opportunity

Responsible for assuring safe and efficient transportation of patients to and from healthcare destinations in either an ambulance or a wheelchair van.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator (EMVO) Certification through WV Office of Emergency Medical Services within 60 days of hire.

Experience:

  • Two (2) years driving experience with clean driving record.

Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:

  • EMT certification through the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services.

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of experience driving emergency vehicles.
Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans and organizes patient transfers.
  • Moves patients via wheelchair to various appointments.
  • Safely secures wheelchair patients utilizing seatbelts and restraining straps.
  • Completes run reports on all patient moves.
  • Supports the Mission Of WVU Camden Clark: To meet the healthcare needs of our community for a lifetime.
  • Is an integral part of our emergency team assuring safe transport to and from the scene of accident or illness.
