Registered Respiratory Therapist (Contract Role)
Location:ย Atlanta, GA, 30329
Duration:ย 13 week contract
Shift:ย 12-hr Night |ย 7:00ย PM - 7:30 AMย 
Guaranteed Hours:ย 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay:ย $1,800 - $1,980;ย (Negotiable based on experience) ย 

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years of pediatric respiratory care experience, including extensive work in PICU, NICU, and ED settings. You will provide respiratory care to critically ill patients and support respiratory therapy procedures in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. You must be comfortable working the night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with the flexibility to float across departments as needed.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide respiratory care to pediatric patients in PICU, NICU, and ED.
    • Administer and monitor mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory therapies.
    • Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to assess, plan, and implement respiratory care strategies.
    • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, pulmonary function tests, and other diagnostic tests.
    • Assist with emergency procedures and critical care support, particularly in trauma or life-threatening situations.
    • Ensure proper documentation of patient care in the Epic EMR system.
    • Float to different areas of the hospital as required, providing flexibility and support across departments.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols.

    Required Requirements:

    • 2+ years of pediatric experience (required).
    • Extensive critical care experience in PICU, NICU, and ED.
    • Level I trauma experience highly preferred (Level II trauma experience will be considered).
    • EMR experience with Epic preferred.
    • Ability to float across various units within the hospital as needed.

      License & Certifications (All Required):

      • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
      • Active Georgia State Licenseย 
      • Basic Life Support (BLS)ย 
      • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)ย 
      • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)ย
