Job Description

The Support and System Administrator position is based in Northern California and supports the end users with Chromatography Data Systems as well as other laboratory informatics products. The position will create and maintain necessary procedures, assist in the administration, configuration and end user support of the system as well as provide training to staff members. This position requires flexibility with changing priorities.

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and supporting current CDS system
  • End user issue support, troubleshooting, & resolution
  • Provides assistance in the creation of maintenance release enhancements
  • Provides end-to-end support for tickets requiring system change (requirements gathering, documentation updates, development, system configuration, validation protocol/script development to validation execution)
  • Integrate instruments
  • Conducts user-training sessions for users
  • Performs entry and edit of all relevant static data
  • Acts as liaison between internal laboratory users and vendor to address various system issues Evaluates product enhancements and capabilities, in addition to implementing upgrades as required

Qualifications

  • A qualified candidate will possess:
  • Two years+ experience supporting laboratory systems in a pharmaceutical environmentย 
  • Experience with administration and/or support of Waters NuGenesis and/or Waters Empowerย 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated working understanding of laboratory operations and practices strong organizational and/or project management skills
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects for different business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to work in Northern California. Ideal candidates will be willing and able to travel as required by role.ย 

Education:

Bachelor Degree in chemistry, biology or related discipline is preferred.
