Basic Function:

  • Answer incoming calls, emails, and chat inquiries from clients, applicants, and employers regarding background screening services

Employment Verification

  • Contact current and former employers to verify employment history.
  • Confirm job titles, dates of employment, and eligibility for rehire.
  • Document verification results accurately in the screening system.
  • Follow up on discrepancies or missing information.

Education Verification

  • Verify educational credentials with schools, colleges, and universities.
  • Confirm degrees earned, graduation dates, and attendance records.
  • Research and resolve any inconsistencies found during verification.

Data Entry & Documentation

  • Enter verification results into company databases and screening platforms.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all verification activities.
  • Review reports for completeness and accuracy before submission.

Performance Expectations

  • Meet daily verification volume goals.
  • Maintain high accuracy rates.
  • Achieve established turnaround times.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required (Know How)

A high school diploma or GED is required with some PC knowledge, and minimum typing skills of 40-50 wpm as well as professional.  Data Entry knowledge preferred. Other skills required are Customer Service, Product Knowledge, Quality Focus, Problem Solving, Market Knowledge, Documentation Skills, Listening, Courteous Phone Skills, Resolving Conflict, Analyzing Information, and Multi-tasking.
