Job description

Do you have a successful track record representing employer clients? Are you interested in doing great work while having meaningful time for yourself and other life pursuits? Our small firm is seeking an experienced senior attorney who is adept at independently handling an employment law caseload of litigation, investigations, responses to agency charges, and advice and counsel matters. Your caseload is manageable with a billable hour expectation of 1500 per year with paralegal, legal assistant, and law clerk support.


And you have the flexibility to work from home two days per week. Your years of experience will help coach newer professionals and law students toward a similar route to success. If this sounds like a perfect position for you, please send us your resume today.


Compensation- Based on experience. Starting at $130,000 base, plus monthly and quarterly bonuses.

Compensation:

$130,000 base to start DOE + bonuses


Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a diverse caseload of employment litigation matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to employer clients on complex employment law issues, fostering trust and long-term relationships.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and prepare responses to agency charges, demonstrating your expertise and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop proactive strategies that minimize legal risks and enhance workplace compliance.
  • Mentor and guide junior attorneys and law students, sharing your knowledge and experience to cultivate the next generation of legal professionals.
  • Represent clients in court and administrative hearings, showcasing your advocacy skills and commitment to client success.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, with precision and clarity to support case objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Four-year bachelorโ€™s degree and successful completion of law school from an accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations
  • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
  • Five years of experience as a senior associate in the legal industry
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills are required, as well as persuasive writing and verbal communication skills
